ASSALAM O ALAIKUM!
Allah ????? says in Qur’an:
“& do not say about those who are killed in the way of Allah ????? “They are dead.” Rather, they are alive, but you perceive [it] not.“
[Al Qur’an 2:184]
This verse has been alighted in the favour of martyrs (shaheed) of Battle of Badr. People at that time used to say that abc has died & has been deprived of worldly ease & thus this verse was alighted.
After the death of martyrs, Allah ????? brings them back to life. They are provided food & comfort. Their virtues are ever increasing. Their spirits (rooh) visit the paradise & eat fruits & other things of that holy place.
Hence, the pious men get the bounty of Jannaheven in their very grave.
Martyr is such a person who died of a sharp weapon in some battle or war. Their is no need of giving him the divine bath (ghusal), also no need to put on his shroud (kafan). He should be put in the grave as he is & Nimaz-e-Janaza should be offered.
One who died of drowning in the river or of burning or of buring under the fallen wall or of stomach problem or in the journey of Hajj, or on Friday etc are also martyrs & have the same status.
This is the eternal destiny of a martyr. We should always be ready to die in the way of Allah ????? so that we may get the bounty of Allah ????? that is our real, eternal & ultimate destiny.
