Allah ????? says in Qur’an:
“& when that book (Qur’an) came to them (Jews/?????) that would affirmate its near contemporary book (Torah),
& before that, they would intercede the same Prophet (Muhammad ?? ???? ???? ????) to get victory over the pagans,
& when he (Muhammad ?? ???? ???? ????) came to them, well recognized, they denied him (Muhammad ?? ???? ???? ????),
& curse of Allah ????? on negator [Al Qur’an 2:88]
Before the coming of Muhammad ?? ???? ???? ???? & alightment of Qur’an, the Jews would pray to Allah ????? to fulfill their desires, in the intercession (?????) of Mohammad ?? ???? ???? ????. Thus the glory of Muhammad ?? ???? ???? ???? was on its peak even before his coming to earth!

Thus intercession (or Waseela) is important in Islam for the fulfillment of desires. This verse of Qur’an proves that.
After the coming of Mohammad ?? ???? ???? ????, the priests of Jews thought that if Jews will accept Islam, their income will cease. Hence they started hiding the virtues of Mohammad ?? ???? ???? ????, which is a grave sin.
They manipulated the verses of Torah for their profit.
But it is also notable that verses of Qur’an can never be changed or manipulated, till the Day of Judgement, because Allah ????? himself took the responsibility of its protection.
Jews desired that the last last prophet would be from Bani Isra’el but when they saw that the last prophet was from Bani Isma’el, they became jealous & hence ultimately were expelled from Islam.
