Global warming is the gradual increase in the earth’s temperature. Global Warming has rapidly increased in the last hundred years due to industrialisation and urbanisation. Industries burn tons of fossil fuel, which leads to the release of greenhouse gases such as carbon dioxide and methane. Greenhouse gases are the chief cause of global warming because they trap the sun’s heat and make the planet hotter. The cutting down of trees is also a leading reason for global warming.
The climate change that accompanies global warming has adverse effects on the planet, destroying the delicate balance of nature and harming all living creatures. Environmental disasters are a direct consequence of global warming. While rising temperatures lead to droughts and irregular rainfall, the melting of icebergs and glaciers result in severe floods. All these disasters ultimately harm the environment and human life.
We must actively work to prevent global warming. Raising awareness about this manmade catastrophe and taking steps to stop it are essential. Only then can we save our beautiful planet and preserve it for future generations.
