Good morning to everyone in this room. I would like to thank the principal, the teachers, and my dear friends for allowing me to speak to you today about the population explosion. The term “population explosion” describes a region’s fast population growth. The country’s economy is in a situation where it cannot keep up with the fast population expansion.
Additionally, it is a scenario when the economy is unable to give its citizens enough facilities. The poorer, so-called developing countries, are the ones that contribute more to the population explosion. Lakshadweep is the least populous state in India, whereas Uttar Pradesh is the most populous. Therefore, we may conclude that the growth of that area is inversely connected to the population explosion.
Because too much population is trapping individuals in a web of poverty and illiteracy that worsens the issue, population explosion has become the mother of all evils in our nation. In India, there is always a crowd of people at any time of the day, whether they are at a bus stop, supermarket, shopping area, airport, train platform, road, or even a social or religious occasion.
Overpopulation prevents progress and resource exploitation, yet India’s strength in the global community cannot be overlooked. To address this issue, India must increase public awareness and enact rigorous population control regulations.
It will take time, but with appropriate, efficient, and steady actions, India can achieve more benefits. This includes a healthy environment, an abundance of natural resources, appropriate employment, a proper literacy rate, and rapid economic growth. Thank you.
