Introduction
In the previous unit, we have discussed the Present Continuous Tense in detail. We assume that you have learned the forms of verbs and their meanings in this unit and are also aware of What is Tense. if not, please click these links and learn them first.
This tense tells about the action which has happened in the past (and completed) and has a relation with the present. e.g. He has played GTA 5, They have ordered Mi Phone from Amazon, etc.
In Hindi/Urdu, Present Perfect Tense ends with chuka hai, chuke hein, chuki hai, chuka hu. e.g. Wo Khana kha chuka hai.
In this tense, we use has and have and third form (past participle form) of the verb.
Rule 1
In Present Perfect Tense, we use “has” with “He, She, It and Name” and “past participle form” (3rd form) of the verb. e.g.
Here are some more examples for you.
- Akshay Kumar has left India. (Akshay Kumar India chor chuka hai)
- He has downloaded the movie. (Wo movies download kr chuka hai)
- She has bought a new phone. (Wo naya phone khareed chuki hai)
- It has rained here. (Yaha barish ho chuki hai)
- Dhinchak Pooja has sung a rap. (Dhinchak Pooja rap ga chuki hai)
- He has bought a mature bag. (Wo mature bag khareed chuka hai)
- She has made a Tiktok video. (Wo Tiktok video bana chuki hai)
- He has danced on the road. (Wo road par dance kar chuka hai)
- She has made monkey faces on Snapchat. (Wo Snapchat par bandariya ki shakal bana chuki hai)
Rule 2
In Present Perfect Tense, we use “have” with “I, We, You, They” and “past participle form” (3rd form) of the verb. e.g.

- We have created a new group on WhatsApp. (Hum WhatsApp par naya group bana chuke hein)
- You have told lies. (Ap jhoot bol chuke hein)
- They have played PUBG. (Wo PUBG Khel Chuke Hein)
- We have sold Pakodas. (Hum pakodey bech chuke hein)
- You have cooked rice. (Ap khana bana chuke ho)
- They have asked questions. (Wo sawaal pooch chuke hein)
- We have run. (Hum bhaag rahe hein)
- They have sat. (We beth chuke hein)
- You have cried. (Ap ro chuke ho)
- We have danced. (Hum naach chuke hein)
- I have done my work. (mein apna kaam kar chuka hu)
Rule 3
We bring has/have before He/She/It/I/We/You/They/It and Name while making questions in Present Perfect Tense. e.g.
