After attending Dun School in Dehradun, Abhinav Bindra attended St. Stephens School in Chandigarh. He later earned his MBA and BBA from Colorado University in the USA.

Indian rifle shooter Abhinav Bindra won the men’s 10-meter air rifle competition at the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, China.
Abhinav Bindra qualified for and participated in the Olympics in 2000 and 2004, but he did not take home any medals.

Abhinav Bindra, the first rifle shooter from India to place first in a World Championship competition, earned the gold medal in the 10-meter air rifle event at the ISSF World Championships in 2006.
A Shot at History: My Obsessive Journey to Olympic Gold, written by Abhinav Bindra and Rohit Brijnath, was released in 2011.
He won two medals at the 2002 Commonwealth Games: a gold in the couples competition and a silver in the individual 10-meter air rifle category.

Abhinav Bindra set a junior world record at the 2001 International Shooting Sport Federation (ISSF) World Cup by taking home the bronze medal in the 10-meter air rifle competition with a score of 597 out of a possible 600 points.
