Dr Bhimrao Ambedkar is known as the father of Indian constitution. This is a constitution that provides a comprehensive and dynamic framework to guide and govern the country, keeping in view her unique social, cultural and religious diversity. It came into force on 26th January, 1950.

At about 145,000 words, it is the second-longest active constitution—after the Constitution of Alabama—in the world.
