Fiction is something that is told or written that is not fact. The word fiction has been derived from Latin word “fictus” that means, “to form”. It could be any creative work of art chiefly any narrative works, portraying individuals, events, or places that are imaginary, or in ways that are imaginary. According to studies and researches, it has been found that fiction was invented in the 12th century in England. Early fiction was closely associated with history and myth. Greek poets such as Homer, Hesiod, and Aesop developed fictional stories that were told first through oral storytelling and then in writing. Fiction stories have taken over the world of today. There are a lot of openings and opportunities under fiction writing as well. It promotes one’s imaginary and creativity skill. It is a very bold movement. Back in history, people used fiction stories to tell a message to the public about a problem; especially about the ruling authorities as they couldn’t tell the public directly as their lives would be in danger. Fiction began to grow and blossom throughout the years and have been evolving even to this very day.
