Nelson Mandela is a person who influences our lives in a positive way. We try to motivate ourselves from our role’s models struggles and achievements in life.
Every one of us has a role model in our life. We always admire and get inspiration from someone in life. For some, their parents are their role models. For some, the personalities like A P J Abdul Kalam and Mahatma Gandhi are their role models.
Among all the great personalities, my role model is Nelson Mandela. He was born on 18th July 1918 in Mvezo village in South Africa, He was also the first President of South African from 1994 to 1999 and died on 5th December 2013. In his family, he was the first one to attend school. He wanted to be a lawyer.

To be a leader was always a dream for Nelson Mandela. He was active in politics since college day in 1943 he had led a successful march in support of bus boycott in to reverse fair rises. He always wanted to work for his people. He was a person who fought for the anti-apartheid movement in South Africa.
He was known for being the most popular civil rights leader. Mandela was inspired by Mahatma Gandhi’s non- violence attitude and tried to apply it to his political activities.
Mandela tried to end the inequality and fought to pay justice to the black people who were treated as inhuman. As a result of his political involvement, he was sent to jail many times. He has spent 27 years in jail during the freedom struggle. Apartheid was abolished in 1991.
Ultimately, he ended up being the first black President in South Africa. His hard work, his honesty and his love, compassion and kindness towards people are some things which motivate everyone. Therefore, he is a great inspiration for everyone.
