Children’s Day is celebrated on the 14th of November in India. It’s an occasion where people give a gift to their child or children and wish them good health and happiness. The first prime minister of India was Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, who was born on the 14th of November.
He loved children, and he believed in their educational opportunities. He was an advocate for children and for their future leadership in the country. There is no doubt about it, whether the parents are educated or not, kids can be taught to be responsible, productive, and ethical members of society. This is why, after his death in 1964, his birthday was declared Children’s Day, nationwide.

On this day, schools organise events like dancing, singing, and plays. They also organise fancy dress parties. There are a number of residential societies, governmental and non-governmental organisations which organise such activities in their respective capacities.

They teach children to be the best that they can be. They try to teach them to be compassionate, to love their country, to respect elders, and to be happy.
These are the values that we should inculcate in our children. We should teach them to be self-confident, to have faith in themselves, and to believe in their abilities. We should teach them to respect their elders and to follow the rules.
